Customer-Subcontractor Liaison

Position Description: Core Responsibilities of a Project Liaison Project & Technical Coordination

Coordinate daily between customer, GC, electrical, structural, and mechanical

subcontractors.

Ensure installation of new generators, diesel tank, enclosures, concrete pads, bollards,

and utility tie-ins follows specifications

Oversee demolition and construction sequencing to avoid disruption to active facility

operations.

Verify compliance with architectural, electrical, and safety specifications during

construction.

Facilitate RFIs, change requests, submittals, and shop drawings.

Site Compliance & Permitting

Monitor compliance with 2021 IBC, NEC 2023, fire code, building standards

referenced throughout the spec sheets .

Coordinate special inspections for concrete, structural steel, fireproofing, and utilities

Ensure adherence to site access requirements, core drills, trenching, hot work, confined

space, and shutdown procedures.

Safety & Security Enforcement

Enforce contractor safety protocols.

Confirm all subcontractors follow on-site protection measures (bollards, electrical

lockout, emergency systems).

Must coordinate background checks, drug screening, and TWIC compliance.

Requirement Why Needed (Based on Scope)

Strong Communication

Daily coordination with engineering teams, utilities,

inspectors, and PM.

Technical/Construction

Knowledge

Must understand generators, electrical diagrams, concrete,

trenching, and structural tie-ins.

Documentation & Reporting RFI logs, progress updates, inspection reports, safety permits.

Conflict Resolution

Resolve scheduling conflicts between electrical shutdowns

and mechanical work.

Tech Savvy

Using plan review apps, construction management software

(Procore, Bluebeam).

Mandatory Certifications & Clearances

Clearance/Requirement Purpose

TWIC Card Required for working near critical infrastructure.

Clean Background Check and client facility access requirement.

Drug Test (Pre-employment + Random) Mandatory for industrial job sites.

OSHA 30 (Preferred) For site safety oversight.

First Aid/CPR (Preferred) Coordinating in live operational facilities.
