About the Role:
U.S. Pipe is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor to join our team. This leadership role is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the customer service team while also providing hands-on support for sales, order management, quoting, and customer communications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction, process improvement, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and lead the customer service team, ensuring efficient processing of customer inquiries, orders, quotes, and returns.
•Oversee order coordination, from entry through fulfillment, to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
•Provide training, support, and guidance to Customer Service Representatives, assisting with escalated issues and complex orders.
•Collaborate with sales representatives and customers to provide accurate pricing, delivery timelines, and product availability.
•Respond to and resolve customer complaints and service issues, ensuring a high level of customer care.
•Review and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, quotes, and job-related documentation.
•Communicate with production and logistics teams to coordinate delivery dates and proactively address delays or issues.
•Monitor service metrics and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve customer experience.
•Participate in production and planning meetings to align customer service with operational capabilities.
•Manage return goods authorization (RGA) process and related documentation.
•Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and quality standards.
•Conduct customer follow-ups post-delivery to assess satisfaction and address any concerns.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services; distribute catalogs and marketing materials as needed.
•Update and manage the work board in coordination with the branch manager or designated team member.
•Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. Some college or technical training is a plus.
•Must have at least 2 to 4 years of previous customer service experience in a fast paced and high-volume call center environment.
•Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint software.
•Previous customer service assignments in an industrial or manufacturing sales environment are preferred.
•Professional behavior in the workplace and on the phone is required.
•Requires diligent presence in work area to be responsive to customer calls and e-mails.
•Good patience and ability to deal with people.
•Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage information from multiple locations.
•Strong attention to accuracy and detail
