As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), you are required to assist customers with inquiries and issues related to Mid-West Metal Product Companies products and services. In order for a candidate to be considered for this position, they:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours a week), Monday through Friday.
- Must be able to work legally in the United States without requiring a sponsorship.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers via phone or email to address inquiries and provide information.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve customer issues, complaints, and concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Order and Account Management: Process orders, returns, exchanges, and manage customer accounts as needed.
- Information Provision: Offer detailed information about company products, services, and policies.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document customer interactions, transactions, and the actions taken to resolve issues.
- Escalation: Identify and escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments or supervisors.
- Feedback and Collaboration: Provide feedback to management on recurring customer issues and collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent service.
- Product Knowledge: Continuously update knowledge of products, services, and company procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude to create a positive customer experience.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address customer needs.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to use CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and customer service platforms.
- Multi-Tasking/ Organizational Skills: Ability to work on multiple issues at one time.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required.
- Prior customer service experience preferred, but not required.
