EcoLube Recovery (ELR) is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This pivotal role serves as the essential connection between businesses requiring environmental services and our ELR route drivers, ensuring that both current and prospective customers receive an exceptional service experience. The position involves directing and coordinating customer service activities, providing administrative support for our branch locations in Washington and Oregon, and contributing to our mission of offering compliant, efficient, and cost-effective recycling solutions. ELR is a Pacific Northwest owned and operated company, proud to contribute to the sustainability of our beautiful region through innovative recycling processes.
Responsibilities
•Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
•Respond to service requests by gathering all necessary information from customers.
•Provide backup customer service support to the Washington CSR team.
•Prepare and distribute Daily and Weekly Dispatch Reports for service requests to drivers.
•Monitor service request status to ensure timely customer service.
•Track driver locations throughout the day and assist in maintaining proper routing.
•Communicate promptly with customers regarding schedule changes or delays.
•Contact field service personnel to exchange information and directions about service activities.
•Process all customer service-related paperwork according to company protocols.
•Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
•Resolve customer complaints and answer client questions with support from management when needed.
•Send written business correspondence to existing and potential clients.
•Utilize Smart Service and Quickbooks for billing and reporting.
•Coordinate and execute various general office administrative tasks proactively.
•Provide administrative support to ELR management and sales team.
•Collaborate with the ELR Accounting team on customer service activities.
•Process intercompany paperwork related to incoming shipments.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent required.
•2+ years of customer service or dispatch experience required.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
•Strong customer service skills.
•Proficiency with computers, including typing, 10-key, and Microsoft Office suite.
•Experience with Smart Service and/or Quickbooks is desirable.
•Strong problem-solving skills.
•Ability to multi-task effectively.
•Ability to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment.
•Ability to sit for long periods of time.
