Job Title: Customer Service Clerk

Job Summary:
Quality Metals Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Clerk to provide excellent customer service at the front desk while also assisting warehouse personnel with fulfilling customer orders. This role requires a reliable and organized individual who can efficiently manage customer interactions, process sales transactions, and support warehouse operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties:
•Greet and assist customers visiting the facility.
•Process sales transactions, invoices, and payments.
•Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.
•Responds to requests for price quotes, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations
•Provide product information and assist customers in selecting materials.
•Follow up with customers on pending orders and orders completed
•Checks with the Credit department concerning credit status of customers when orders are received
•Program and control the production of customer orders.
•Works closely with the Shipping and Receiving department regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments
•Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Warehouse Support Duties:
•Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing customer orders.
•Verify product availability and coordinate with warehouse personnel to fulfill orders.
•Help with inventory management, including stock checks and restocking materials.
•Prepare metal orders based on customer requests.
•Load metal panels and other materials into customer vehicles safely and efficiently.
•Use forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move heavy materials (training provided if necessary).
•Verify order accuracy before loading and assist customers as needed.
•Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when handling materials and operating equipment to ensure smooth communication between the front desk and warehouse teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
•Previous experience in customer service, retail, or warehouse operations preferred.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers
•Strong word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
•Basic knowledge of inventory and order processing systems (training provided).
•Physical ability to assist with warehouse tasks, including lifting materials if necessary.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
