Lighting Hearth & Home Studio by Gross Electric is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This position will provide exceptional customer service to clients and customers as well as provide support to the sales team by assisting with order entry, order follow-up, and other support functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service Responsibilities:
•Greet customers in a positive and friendly manner.
•Answer customer inquiries.
•Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints.
•Answer phones and relay detailed messages.
•Enter bids and orders into computer system as needed by customers or salespeople.
•Create customer wish lists in Microsoft Word or retail website.
•Monitor open orders including calling factories for shipping updates.
•Track and communicate order status updates to customers.
•Ensure high customer service standards are met.
Sales Assistant Responsibilities:
•Sell fixture parts, light bulbs, lamp repair and lampshades.
•When requested, sell lighting and decorative hardware solutions to showroom customers.
•Establish, develop and maintain excellent relationships with all existing and prospective customers.
•Process orders accurately and efficiently.
•Receive product and material.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Some traveling to Ann Arbor, MI and Toledo, Ohio. (10%)
•Effectively communicate with customers and co-workers through queues, email, phone, voicemail and thank you cards in a timely matter.
•Participate in relevant training to keep current with opportunities to grow and excel within the role.
•Develop product knowledge through self-study, online courses and vendor training, keep current with industry trends.
•Work respectfully with the team in a positive environment.
•All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•A minimum of 3 years sales experience is required.
•Retail sales experience in a showroom preferred.
•Interior design experience preferred.
•ERP Eclipse Solar experience preferred.
•Experience with electrical products, lighting and/or decorative hardware helpful
