Custodian (Part-time)

Summary of Position:

Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and security of the building and grounds.

Job Responsibilities:

Within the limits of established policies, procedures and budgets, assumes responsibility and has commensurate authority as delegated for the following functions:

· Sweep the entire office area thoroughly.

· Empty trash cans each shift

· Clean floors, locker rooms, breakroom and lineman room areas

· Clean walls, air vents, ceiling tiles and windows as necessary (including restroom areas)

· Wipe down all surfaces including counter tops and desks

· Keep areas stocked with soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.

· Dust all high and low areas on regular basis

· Subject to random drug and alcohol testing consistent with DOT regulation and Paulding-Putnam Electric policies.

· Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Specifications:

Education and Experience:

· Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Expectations:

· Must be able to and have initiative to work without close supervision

· Attention to detail, organizational skills, and good oral communications are required.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

· Must be physically able to function in the position with or without reasonable accommodation. May involve stooping, crouching, reaching or handling or long periods of standing or walking.

· Must be physically able to function in the position.

· Must have strength in walking, sitting, and standing.

· Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.

· Must be able to climb and balance.

· Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

· Must be able to reach and handle items.

· Must have good communication skills.

· May be at risk from exposure to blood borne pathogens.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
