Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.

Responsibilities

•

Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.

•

Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure high-quality appearance of flooring surfaces.

•

Carry out industrial and commercial cleaning duties in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.

•

Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.

•

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or maintenance needs promptly.

•

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing custodial duties.

•

Provide porter services as required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment during events or facility changes.

•

Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment at all times.

Qualifications

•

Previous experience in custodial services or facilities maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.

•

Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.

•

Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean and maintain various surfaces effectively.

•

Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and equipment operation is advantageous.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

•

Excellent organizational skills with the capability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

•

Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
