Crew Leader

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crew Leader to join our team. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of workers in various landscaping and groundskeeping tasks. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces.

Duties:

- Supervise and direct crew members in performing landscaping and groundskeeping tasks

- Plan and prioritize daily work assignments for the crew

- Perform various landscaping duties, including garden maintenance, tree care, lawn care, and landscape construction

- Ensure that all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to high-quality standards

- Train new crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures

- Monitor equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition

- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns or questions

- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked by the crew

Requirements:

- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping roles

- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, including planting, pruning, irrigation, and hardscaping

- Ability to operate landscaping equipment and tools safely and effectively

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and crew members

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Skills:

- Supervising: Ability to lead and supervise a team of workers effectively.

- Maintain: Ability to maintain landscapes by mowing, edging, trimming shrubs, etc.

- Garden: Knowledge of garden maintenance tasks such as planting flowers, weeding, mulching.

- Build: Experience in landscape construction projects such as installing walkways or retaining walls.

- Tree care: Knowledge of tree pruning, trimming, and removal techniques.

- Landscape: Understanding of landscape design principles and ability to implement them.

- Lawn care: Proficiency in lawn mowing, fertilization, and weed control.

- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the crew.

- Landscape maintenance: Experience in maintaining landscapes, including irrigation system maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Groundskeeping: Knowledge of groundskeeping tasks such as litter removal, leaf blowing, and snow removal.
