Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sales and Shop Assistant to support our operations in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of friendliness, driving experience, supply shop experience and ability to work independently which will enable them to assist with various tasks including taking customer orders, filling orders, stocking shelves, delivery, and logistical support. The Shop Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop and contributing to overall team success.

Duties

- Operate and maintain various types of vehicles including driving with a trailer and forklifts.

- Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.

- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.

- Support delivery operations as needed, demonstrating safe driving practices.

- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.

- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment or vehicles.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards at all times.

- Assist in moving materials within the shop or warehouse as required.

Qualifications

- Valid driver’s license

- Previous delivery driver experience or route driving is highly desirable.

- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks; certification preferred but not required.

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.

- Mechanical knowledge or background in warehouse operations is advantageous.

- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with moving equipment or materials.

Pay: $21.01 - $25.30 per hour
