The Cost Control Analyst will report day-to-day to the ECWE Project Cost Control Manager, while also serving internally as ACCIONA’s Cost Control Lead for the project, supporting internal cost tracking, reporting, and governance processes.
Job Description Project Cost Control (Day-to-Day Reporting) - Support the ECWE Project Cost Control Manager in:
- Monitoring project budgets and expenditures.
- Developing and maintaining cost tracking systems and tools.
- Producing cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Ensuring compliance with project financial procedures and contract terms.
- Reviewing vendor invoices and verifying alignment with contract terms.
- Preparing and submitting monthly invoices to the client (Contracting Authority), including supporting documentation and cost breakdowns, in accordance with contract terms and project milestones.
- Coordinating with the Project Controls and Commercial teams to ensure timely and accurate client billing.
- Other duties as related to the role and project.
- Act as ACCIONA’s internal cost control representative for the ECWE project.
- Report cost performance and forecasting to ACCIONA corporate teams.
- Ensure internal cost control policies, procedures, and reporting standards are upheld.
- Coordinate with ACCIONA Finance and other departments on budget alignment and reporting.
- Contribute to internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and automation for internal systems.
- Other duties as related to the role.
- Interface with project stakeholders, JV partners, finance teams, procurement, and the Contracting Authority on cost matters.
- Prepare internal and external presentations on project financials and cost trends.
- Foster a culture of cost awareness and accountability across both project and internal teams.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control roles, on large infrastructure projects a strong asset.
- International experience or prior work in Joint Venture (JV) settings is a strong asset
- Strong understanding of cost control principles and financial forecasting.
- Ability to optimize project controls and streamline cost processes to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Interdisciplinary approach with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to support both operational delivery and long-term financial planning.
- Proficiency in project and cost control software (e.g., SEO, Excel, SAP, Primavera).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal stakeholders and external clients, including on invoicing and reporting matters.
