PLEASE NOTE: This is a PAID INTERNSHIP opportunity. Seminole Electric will only consider candidates, who are currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's or Post Graduate degree at an accredited educational institution.
Supports the Communications team at Seminole Electric Cooperative and the Member distribution cooperatives. Responsible for graphic design projects including the employee newsletter, flyers, Seminole graphics and charts, maps, and Seminole’s annual review document.
Required to be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising and/or Public Relations major program at an accredited 4-year college or university. Must be designated by college/ university as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student by hire date and possess an interest in pursuing a content creator, graphic design related career in the electric cooperative industry. Co-op students are expected to be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester, maintain a 2.75 GPA, and work approximately 20 hours per week.

Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment. This position will require contact with Seminole Member cooperatives and representation of Seminole before cooperative-related groups.
