For this three-month contract we are seeking an individual to take on the role of Cook, Exploration . Your primary mission: to plan and prepare all food production on our site, delivering exceptional meals while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
Your duties will include ensuring timely meal preparation and delivery, managing grocery orders to guarantee the correct quantity and quality of products, and maintaining the facilities and equipment in regulatory compliance. You'll also be responsible for performing meal preparation and cleanup.
You will plan menus while efficiently managing food and equipment requirements for the kitchen. You will check the quantity and quality of received products, reporting any issues to your supervisor, and recording production and operational data on specified forms. You'll also estimate the numbers of required supplies, from food to ingredients, and handle ordering or requisitioning to guarantee the smoothest kitchen operation possible.
Currently, the schedule is seven days on and seven days off, with each working day consisting of 10 hours for the three-month contract. You'll be responsible for preparing hot lunch and dinner, as well as continental breakfast items for the following morning.
Qualifications and skills include a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a related environment and hands-on experience in a high-volume catering setting. Your ability to anticipate and solve problems, coupled with strong organizational skills, will be vital. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, will allow you to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of our organization.
