The Control Center Operator works closely with operations, recycle operations, customers, IT department, management, and adjoining pipeline control centers to ensure delivery of product and maintain the integrity, safety, and continued operation of the pipeline. The Control Center Operator will work in the Central Dispatch Center (CDC) environment to monitor field operations for both Midstream and E&P and work as a team integrating Midstream and E&P Operations
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•The successful candidate will provide continuous monitoring and analysis of field operations by using real time surveillance dashboards, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA) tools and live maps they will strive to increase production through reduced downtime and well optimization
•Assist in developing emergency response process for HES support.
•Coordinates and provides emergency update notices to management and HES concerning pipeline incidents
•Maintaining all records by reporting and tracking in accordance with control room management policy and industry best practices
•Assist with day-to-day operations of the system
•Ensure operator qualification training and documentation for controllers and operators
•Responsible for monitoring and managing tank inventories, product movements in relation to the pipeline system, meter counts and for handling of shippers’ products into and out of storage
•Watching and maintaining the Blackline Safety H2S monitor system
•Complete mandatory training and HSE leadership training engagements
•Will work with 4-5 operators in the control center and with the field monitoring what is happening with the wells, facilities, monitoring traffic, and this is a very limited supervisor
•Coordinate maintenance outages with field operations, transportation, and storage services, third party entities, and commercial operations; manages the overall operation and maintenance of the control center
•Receives and responds to pipeline emergencies and emergency phone call
•Perform facility and CTP safety audits
•Manages the development and application of practices and procedures to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient pipeline operations
•Works with the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA) group to ensure continued real time monitoring of the pipeline
•Other duties as assigned within the scope of the business.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
•Clean driving record, background check
•High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
•2+ years of experience in oil/gas measurement operations or related experience
•Candidate must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
•Able to maintain shift workers schedule and ensure 100% coverage at all time
•Experience analyzing well performance for tight, unconventional reservoirs
•Motivated to drive efficiencies and learn new technologies
