We are seeking a skilled and motivated Control Design Engineer to join our team at Virginia Transformer. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electrical and/or electronic circuits and components. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting electrical and/or mechanical drawings, working with control schemes, and providing technical support to the production group.
- Design, manufacture, assemble, and test electrical and/or electronic circuits and components.
- Review and interpret electrical and/or mechanical drawings, with a clear understanding of control schemes and operational functions.
- Provide technical resolution and support to the production group regarding design-related queries and issues.
- Collaborate with the design group on the assembly and fabrication of junction boxes and address technical questions from production.
- Conduct final visual, electrical, and functional inspections of junction boxes, ensuring accuracy and quality standards.
- Assist in programming transformer monitoring and control relays.
- Proficiently handle industry-standard design software packages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems using effective methodologies and techniques.
- Utilize MS Office applications for reporting and communication purposes.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design, manufacturing, and testing of electrical and/or electronic circuits and components.
- Proficient in using industry-standard design software.
- Strong knowledge of junction box assembly, fabrication, and inspection processes.
- Experience in programming transformer monitoring and control relays.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Results-oriented with a strong focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
