Responsible for supporting the development, growth, and execution of Aypa's renewables procurement platform of energy storage and solar hybrid technologies, the Contracts Specialist position will involve interfacing with vendors, deal scoping, and overall contracting support. This role supports Aypa's growth with targeted contract management to ensure all projects receive the appropriate equipment and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support incorporation of Aypa standard terms and exhibits in battery and solar PV supply, service, and EPC contracts;
- Work with internal and external councils on supply and EPC contracts and support contractual exhibits to progress deals to completion;
- Maintain contracting dashboards and trackers for deal progression
- Collaborate with legal, finance, engineering, and commercial teams to structure optimal scoping in contracts;
- Support the Contracts, Procurement and Pre-Construction managers to incorporate negotiated terms and conditions into contract agreements, ensuring alignment with project requirements and objectives;
- Function as gate-keeper for transmittals to and from all contracting parties;
- Maintain accurate version control for all forms, contracts, and exhibits;
- Assist in creating easy-to-digest summaries for executive consumption of key contractual terms;
- Provide input into the company business plan and development strategy;
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Bachelor's degree in construction/project management, contract management, or related field;
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in utility-scale renewables contracting. Experience in renewables contracting preferred;
- Exceptional organizational skills to efficiently oversee and manage the contract lifecycle;
- Familiarity with renewables, procurement, and construction;
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, including a demonstrated proactive work ethic;
- As part of a lean and dynamic team, the candidate must be able to plan, oversee, and personally execute numerous projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and adjust to changing priorities.
Compensation and Location:
Salary:A base salary commensurate with experience;

Candidate must be willing to travel 10-15% for direct vendor negotiation and industry trade shows.
