Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Leader will spearhead initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and
productivity by embedding a culture of operational excellence and systemic problem solving, aligned with MCG-
wide business objectives, collaborating closely with the Central Operations of Mission Critical Group (MCG). This
role entails analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and leading projects utilizing lean
manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Responsibilities include managing improvement projects,
conducting root cause analysis and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The CI Leader ensures
alignment between MCG and PEP business goals to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes.
•Facilitate Kaizens, Workshops, and any other continuous improvement activities.
•Conduct thorough analysis of current operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
•Collaborate with MCG to implement lean manufacturing tools and techniques to streamline processes,
reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
•Partner with MCG and PEP leadership to plan, execute, and monitor continuous improvement projects,
ensuring timely completion and achievement of objectives.
•Utilize statistical tools and software to analyze process data, identify trends, and drive data-driven
decision-making.
•Calculate Capacity for the manufacturing processes (people, machine, floor space), identify bottle necks
and define actions items to mitigate them. Inclusive of time observations to validate data.
•Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and develop effective solutions to prevent
recurrence.
•Visual Factory Implementation across PEP.
•Drive post-project sustainment (visual controls, layered audits, standard work)
•Partner with QA/QC to ensure improvements are measurable, sustained, and embedded into existing
oversight and review processes.
•Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and track objective, process-based metrics tied to quality,
throughput, and waste reductions supporting data-driven decision-making and accountability.
•Provide leadership and guidance to teams, fostering a collaborative environment and training on
continuous improvement tools. Inclusive of hourly employees on the shop floor.
•Manage change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and practices.
•Ensure compliance with quality management systems and standards, maintaining high levels of product
quality.
•Support development/maturity of the QMS, tied to ISO 9001, lean six sigma principles
•Ensure all improvement activities comply with industry-specific regulations and standards.

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge/Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on continuous
improvement.
•In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, including waste reduction, process optimization,
and continuous flow.
•Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
•Experience in facilitating Kaizens or Workshops
•Experience in driving operational excellence initiatives and achieving measurable improvements in
performance.
•Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing improvement projects.
Required Skill/Abilities:
•Expertise in lean principles and tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban.
•Proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies, including DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
and statistical analysis.
•Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of improvement
projects.
•Advanced problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
•Ability to analyze data using statistical tools and software to drive decision-making.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and influence
stakeholders.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
•Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide teams towards achieving continuous improvement goals.
•Experience in managing change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
•Understanding of a business management system
•Emphasize ability to embed improvement into daily operations and performance measures
Supervisory Requirements
•This role does not have any direct reports.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
•FLSA executive and professional positions paid on a salary basis, where project requirements and tight
client deadlines may require workweeks over forty (40) hours (including weekends or holidays)
•This role will be in office setting, however frequent visits to the production floor are required to oversee
operations, ensure compliance and safety standards.
o Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and
climbing stairs.
o Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
o Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to twenty-five (25) pounds. All lifting should be done
following OSHA standards.
•Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant
safely and communicate effectively with team members.
