Real Work. Real Impact. Join the Crew That Keeps the Water Flowing.
Rainbow Municipal Water District is looking for a dependable, hands-on Utility Worker to join our Construction team. Our mission is simple but essential: to deliver safe, clean water and reliable wastewater service to the communities of Rainbow, Bonsall, and parts of Vista, Oceanside, and Fallbrook.
When a pipe bursts or a hydrant goes down, Rainbow Water can't wait around-we fix it. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that action.
This is more than just a construction job. It’s a vital role where your work directly impacts families, farms, and businesses across our region. From repairing pipelines to installing valves to patching streets and managing traffic control, you’ll be part of the boots-on-the-ground crew keeping things running smoothly.
Position: Utility Worker (Construction Department)
Only one opening available!
Hiring as a Utility Worker I or II, starting pay depending on your experience and qualifications. Applicants with similar work experience and Distribution certifications will start above the minimum pay range.
No two days look the same. But every day, you’ll:
+ D1 Water Distribution Certificate preferred (required within 6 months of hire) + Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements preferred + AWS D1.1 welding cert? That’s a plus, too.
At Rainbow MWD, you’re not just joining a team, you’re becoming part of a community. We’ve been named a Top Workplace in San Diego County four years running for a reason: we invest in our people.
If you're looking for work that matters, and a team that does too, this is your chance.
