We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Construction Specialist in our Permian Resources group based in Midland, TX.
The successful candidate will support surface and plant infrastructure construction activities as a member of a team responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating construction activities while maintaining the highest standards of HES performance.
- Responsibilities includes selecting, directing and managing contractors
- Inspecting for quality and contractual compliance
- Estimating, tracking and managing cost and progress
- Overseeing documentation and close-out activities
- Post-appraising projects.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction, modification, and repair of plant or oil field facilities and pipelines
- Demonstrated construction management skills including material & labor planning, cost & schedule estimating, contracting, cost & progress tracking and management, documentation, post appraisal and process improvement
- Demonstrated high level of effectiveness working in a collaborative teamwork environment
- Demonstrated effective communication in written and verbal forms; adept at selection and use of appropriate communication techniques (e-mail, fax, phone, cell phone, Internet, etc.)
- Working knowledge of oil & gas production operations, associated pipeline systems and surface equipment, and demonstrated ability to integrate construction activities with ongoing operating activities
- Working knowledge of applicable API, ASME, and OSHA codes and standards
- Ability to effectively contribute in constructability reviews & assist in the engineering effort
- Ability to lead others to accomplish construction tasks
- Ability to select and manage pipeline and facility installation contractors and inspectors
- Ability to travel as required (a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record are required)
- Available for call-outs
- High proficiency in use of computer database and spreadsheet functions (Maximo, Access, Excel) and Microsoft Office Suite
- High proficiency in use of construction drawings, survey drawings, and installation specifications
- Thorough working knowledge of pipeline and facility installation practices
- Thorough application knowledge of NDT testing techniques
