Reports to: Safety Manager / Construction Site Safety Supervisor
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Safety Administrative Assistant to support our construction safety team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a strong interest in construction safety practices. You will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and administration of safety protocols, documentation, training, and compliance to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites.
Maintain and organize safety records, including incident reports, training certifications, and safety audits. Ensure all documents are up to date and in compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
Coordinate and schedule safety training sessions for construction workers, ensuring that all workers are properly trained in relevant safety procedures and are up to date with certifications.
Assist in managing and tracking safety equipment inventory, including personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools, ensuring all workers are equipped and ready for the job site.
Assist in conducting safety inspections on job sites and report any safety hazards or concerns to the Safety Manager. Track the progress of safety corrective actions.
Assist in the reporting and investigation of safety incidents or accidents, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed correctly.
Work with the safety department, project managers, subcontractors, and workers to promote safety awareness and ensure smooth communication across the team.
Provide general administrative support to the safety department, including scheduling meetings, preparing safety reports, and handling correspondence.
·Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
· Experience: Previous experience in a construction or safety-related role is a plus but not required. Entry-level candidates with relevant internships or academic experience in safety management are encouraged to apply.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
· Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards is a plus.
· Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
· Collaborative team player with a positive attitude towards safety and continuous learning.
· Local travel to construction sites will be required.
· Office-based with some field visits to ensure safety practices are followed.
· Exposure to construction site conditions; personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.

Starting salary is $45K - $72K based on experience.
