Job Summary:
The Construction Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall direction, profitability, completion and quality of each project they are assigned along with mentoring those that they lead. The PM will be responsible for pre-construction, renovation and project management. Interacts effectively with clients, company management, administrators, project engineers and sub-contractors.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•Supervises, trains, and leads Superintendents on assigned projects.
•Manages all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the jobsite on a weekly basis.
•Ensure adequate subcontractor coverage or manpower is available for each task
•Ensure quality and code-compliant work is performed on the project.
•Monitor and update the General Manager as needed.
Responsibilities:
•Direct and/or manage the work of the project team including employees, subcontractors and suppliers
•Maintain fleet of company vehicles to include reminders for maintenance and cleanliness
•Provide jobsite leadership
•Maintain Client Relationships
•Meet Contract conformance goals
•Write and procure subcontracts & material PO’s
•Originate and manage project schedule
•Project reporting, forecasting and cost control
•Reinforces the Company’s vision and core values
•Interpret the project proposal and develop a work plan that ensures timely and on-budget delivery of the project scope.
•Research, pre-qualify, and procure professional services such as geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, MEP engineering, architectural services.
•Prepare, edit, monitor, communicate, and control the pre-construction schedule using Procore preferred.
• Prepare the construction delivery project schedule with the input of the project construction manager.
•Explore the local subcontractor market.
•Coordination and communication with the client as to the project work plan, interim coordination, project status, and final project delivery.
•Facilitate client facing meetings such as the alignment session in coordination with the Design Manager.
•LEED scorecard experience preferred Project Due Diligence and Systems Exploration
Qualifications:
•Can demonstrate effective written communication skills.
•Demonstrated high performance and initiative that is complimentary to Momentum’s diverse team of self-starters.
•Candidate must possess a strong background in preconstruction process, planning, and design phase management and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
•A working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and MS Project) is a must.
•Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
•Knowledgeable of Contracting and Procurement processes and procedures
•Knowledgeable of Project Management processes and procedures
•Knowledgeable of Construction terminology
Education and Experience:
•BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
•Design-Build or Construction Management experience Required
