Construction Laborer

Duties

- Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including concrete breakout, backfill, and assisting other departments as needed.

- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and job sites.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.

- Perform physical labor such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed.

Requirements

- Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required; we welcome entry-level candidates willing to learn.

- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.

- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.

- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately.

- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.

- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and environments typical of construction sites.

2M General Engineering, Inc. is signatory to Laborer's Local 185 union, if you are not a member you would be required to join. Pay and benefits are determined by the union agreement and include health, dental, vision, pension, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.15 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

Work Location: In person
