SUMMARY:
A Construction Laborer, also known in our world as a Tank Construction Technician, performs tasks involving physical labor at Water Tank construction project sites under the direction of a Foreman or Project Manager. Laborer may operate a variety of hand and power tools, may clean and prepare sites, set forms, assemble bolted steel tank, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste material in a safe and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous/heavy manual labor in: o Construction of reinforced concrete tank foundations with accessories o Assembly of bolted steel tanks with accessories.
•Lifting and handling of construction materials and steel tank sheets weighing up to 35-50 pounds
•Good working knowledge and use of industrial power tools and small hand tools
•Ability to perform work at ground level and at elevated heights
•Travel to remote job sites – Including multi-night/overnight stays
•May include driving or being a passenger in a company vehicle
•Must possess and maintain a valid drivers’ license
•While a representative of SET, employee must demonstrate professional and courteous behavior on the job site, when staying in hotels and/or visiting other establishments such as restaurants, etc.
•Comply with Company policies and practices
•Maintain a clean job site: Pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
•As soon as it is safe to do so, bring safety/incident issues to the attention of the Construction
Foreman or Safety Director
•Enforces all company AND client required safety policies and procedures
