Phoenix Restoration Services, Inc. was established in 2009 and specializes in commercial and residential insurance repair work - specifically fire, water, mold and catastrophe damage repair as well as general construction work. The normal operating zone for work to be performed has been established as Mobile and Baldwin Counties in Southwest Alabama. We also perform catastrophe and specialty work along the I-10 corridor on the Gulf Coast.

Job Description:

The Construction Finisher will be an individual that is experienced in general construction tasks. This position is a customer service based position and the employee is expected to be respectful and personable at all times, more importantly in a customers home or property. This employee must possess enough skills to complete assigned tasks given to them on a daily basis by their reported supervisor. The Construction Finisher is expected to be timely, organized, clean, professional and detail oriented. Typical daily activities include: demolition of building materials in occupied homes, small drywall & painting projects, assisting other employees with carpentry and tile as well as other general construction and handyman tasks. May include work under houses or in attics. This position reports to the Project Superintendent. This position will require daily travel in the company’s operating zone.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or General Equivalent Degree

- 2+ Years General Construction Experience

- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST AND BACKGROUND CHECK

- Must have a clean driving record

- Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills

- Must be available Monday-Friday from 6:30am-2:30pm.

- Must be willing to work an after hours on call schedule

- Must have reliable transportation to and from work during 90 day probationary period.

- Ability to read a tape measure

- Ability to keep a clean work environment

- Ability to climb a ladder and work in elevated environments

- Ability to lift up to 55lbs

- Ability to work outside for extended periods of time

- Ability to work normally in hot and cold temperature conditions

- Ability to work in confined spaces

- Ability to self perform and work under minimal supervision

Required Skills:

- General handyman work

- Building materials demolition

- Trim/Finish Carpentry

- Plaster repair

- Drywall repair/texture

- Wallpaper replacement

- Wood stain experience

- Painting - Oil and Latex – Use of airless sprayer

- Tile Experience

- Hardwood/LVP floor install experience

- General knowledge of household plumbing

- General knowledge of household electrical

- Water mitigation experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
