Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Metal Building Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Duties

•

Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.

•

Utilize estimating software to create detailed cost breakdowns for skids, buildings, and Hvac requirements.

•

Collaborate with our project managers and Engineers to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.

•

Build relationships with customers, and subcontractors and to negotiate competitive pricing for materials and services.

•

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for more precise estimates.

•

Prepare bid proposals and present opportunities to management for review.

•

Create pricing for Project management team for changes to scope during design and construction process.

•

Stay updated on industry news, projects under construction, and work well with the entire estimating team.

Requirements

•

Proven experience as a Metal Building Estimator, or in a similar experience within the metal building industry.

•

Proficiency in using estimating spreadsheets.

•

Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.

•

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to build accurate cost estimates based on client specifications.

•

Effective negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.

•

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

•

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

•

A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
