We are looking for a project estimator interested in working in a design-build environment on projects from $150k to $10mm+. Focus on details, accuracy, meeting deadlines, and producing error-free work. Understanding of project plans and specifications. Ability to comprehend and document project scope for a variety of projects. Engage and work with Owners, Engineers, Architects, Subcontractors and Team Members. Balanced work culture. · Well versed in commercial construction (ground-up, tenant improvements, renovations).
· Read and comprehend plans and project documents.
· Able to thoroughly review subcontractor pricing and prepare comprehensive bid tabs.
· Proficient with using Xcel and Microsoft products. Ability to utilize technology and software systems.
· Work toward good subcontractor and supplier relationships.
· Good communication skills, detail, and team oriented.
· Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
· Thorough RFP reviews and comprehension of all requirements.
· Competitive bidding, bid analysis and bid leveling/ review.
· Preconstruction budgeting, conceptual phase through design development to the issued for construction drawings.
· Schedule and coordinate project walk throughs (pre-bid with client, pre-bid with subcontractors).
· Take direction, work within a team environment, and continue to be open to improvement.
· Learning and growth opportunities within the commercial construction industry.
· Must be attentive to detail and have good organizational skills.
· Ability to schedule, multitask and coordinate many projects at a time.
· Knowledgeable in building and construction is a plus.
· Experience in commercial construction and/or undergraduate degree+ in Construction Management, or other applicable disciplines, etc. Exposure to project estimate process, procedures, and approach. Open to variety of skill and experience levels.

This job operates both in a standard office environment and on a commercial construction job site. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phone, copier, fax machine, etc. This role will occasionally use standard construction equipment such as power tools, hand tools, phones, ladders, Powered Industrial Equipment, and other basic tools.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. It is very important that the employee follows all safety training provided and use the proper protective equipment provided to them.
