What You'll Do
As a Construction Coordinator at LMI, you’ll serve as a critical bridge between field crews, management, and administrative departments, ensuring seamless operations from bid to closeout. Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Field & Operations Support
•Act as a liaison between field crews, project managers, and executive leadership
•Monitor and manage utility tickets and coordinate with Miss Utility and utility companies
•Maintain electronic files for drill and construction crews, including daily logs, utility tickets, schedules, and field documentation
•Track and order field supplies and materials (e.g., conduit, couplings, PPE)
•Coordinate close-out documentation and daily reporting for state and municipal clients
Construction & Project Administration
•Support monthly billing processes including AIA documents and custom formats
•Create and track purchase orders, manage PO logs, and upload receipts to project management systems (CE)
•Review bid packages, secure insurance certificates and bid bonds
•Follow up with subcontractors on estimates, documentation, and compliance items
•Submit and close out FAA aviation studies for lighting projects
Travel & Logistics Coordination
•Manage lodging, flights, and rentals through platforms like LodgeLink
•Review and approve travel invoices and reconcile project-related travel costs
•Create job-specific travel documents for team members working out of town
Permitting & Compliance
•Apply for and maintain permits for construction projects
•Schedule and coordinate inspections with local authorities
•Assist in compliance tracking for safety training, certifications, and renewals
Hiring & Onboarding
•Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews
•Prepare onboarding kits with essential company and project info
•Track and update new hire info including birthdays, anniversaries, and licenses
•Serve as point-of-contact for onboarding questions and orientation
Safety & Culture
•Organize and conduct weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings
•Maintain and distribute PPE, track inventory and expiration dates
•Document safety infractions and implement driver coaching sessions
•Support morale-boosting activities including team recognitions, monthly celebrations, and internal shout-outs
What You Bring
•3+ years in construction coordination, field administration, or similar roles within the construction or utilities industries
•Exceptional organization and communication skills
•Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure
•High level of discretion and professionalism when working with confidential or sensitive information
•Experience with project management or ERP systems (e.g., Jonas CE or similar platforms)
•Strong computer skills including Excel, fillable PDFs, and digital file management
A problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to improving systems and processes
