Job Overview

Port City Concrete is looking for skilled, safety-focused Concrete Mixer Truck Drivers to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting and delivering ready-mix concrete to job sites across the Charleston and Greater Charleston area. We’re looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

Sign-On Bonus:

•

$500 after 90 days of employment

•

$500 after 6 months

•

$1,000 after 1 year

Key Responsibilities

•

Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites.

•

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.

•

Communicate effectively with dispatch, batch plant staff, and job site personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

•

Maintain proper handling and slump of concrete during transit and unloading.

•

Keep accurate delivery records and daily driver logs.

•

Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck.

•

Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures.

Requirements

•

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL – Class B minimum).

•

Prior experience operating a mixer truck or similar heavy equipment preferred.

•

Ability to read and understand delivery tickets and follow verbal instructions.

•

Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment and various weather conditions.

•

Strong focus on safety and teamwork.

•

Must be punctual, dependable, and have a positive attitude.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
