Civil Concrete Form Setter
Well established company has an opportunity for a Civil Concrete Form Setter.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of at least three (2) years’ experience in concrete flatwork construction form-setting. Experience in curb ramp construction is preferred.
Bilingual preferred Spanish/English, leading and directing a form-setting crew with optimum productivity in civil concrete site work, safety, and quality.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
•Lead concrete form-setting flatwork crew by assigning work duties; observing and monitoring work tasks; providing feedback to employees; evaluating work performance; and assisting employees to correct deficiencies
•Read & execute plans efficiently
•Coordinate with Project Superintendents, Managers, Estimators, and Operations
•Identify and organize daily labor requirements
•Organize mobilization and identify necessary equipment required
•Lay-out, forming, reinforcement, of concrete flatwork projects
•Help keep others on task
•Plan a safe project site and implement work activities in a safe way, every day. Following OSHA standards
•Plan for and secure needed materials and equipment; ensuring project is completed in a timely manner; inspecting work; and provide solutions to problems as needed
•Maintain equipment by inspecting equipment for damage; and performing routine maintenance
Qualifications:
•Two (2) plus years of experience as a Concrete Form Setter
•ADA curb ramp construction experience preferred
•Proficient in use of construction tools
•Experienced in operating mini-excavators and skid steers and pouring concrete
•Must have the ability to oversee site work and projects
•Bilingual preferred Spanish/ English communication and written ability
•Ability to make important decisions under pressure
•Ability to delegate effectively
•Excellent time management skills
•Detail oriented, reliable, and punctual
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving history
•Ability to lift 50 lbs-100lbs.
•Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and punctuality
•Good communication skills and ability to work and lead a crew
