Concrete Field Operations Manager

Big-D Construction has an opportunity for a Concrete Field Operations Manager to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT.

Key responsibilities include:

- Responsible for operational excellence and performance; support the growth of the business units/areas (such as project management, site supervision, feasibility analysis, document management, process management)

- Apply manpower optimization and business process reengineering strategies in project management

- Support operations and project management, and anticipate future needs

- Implement a workforce planning software for current and future opportunities including rate and resource forecasting

- Implement KPIs with respect to revenue, cost of sales and expenses

- Ensure cost-effective and sustainable growth through effective business planning and delivery

- Serve on Leadership Team to implement the company strategy and ensure consistency and alignment with the company’s objectives Manage Cost / Change Control, including change order review, negotiation, and recommendations, delay analysis.

- Manage contingency draw process and best in class practice.

- Play a key role in culture and career development of all team members including establishing target rates of continuing education, providing intern success factors and consistency in hiring new talent.

- Maintain cost benchmarking database.

- Process development and training on all key project documents, including change orders, invoices and payments, lien releases, etc.

- Establish close out documentation process and requirements and communication expectation to team. Set guidelines for all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.

- Setting and attending change control and cost meetings as required.

- Monitor, track and analyze schedule progress in the field (actual vs. forecast).

- Ensure QA/QC is being followed.
