The successful candidate will service, troubleshoot, install and repair compressors and equipment, salt water transfer pumps, turbines, pumps and other equipment.
- Daily repair, maintenance, trouble-shooting, preventive maintenance and start-up of natural gas compressors on scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs, maintenance, swaps, installs, and releases.
- Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
- Maintains and prepares reports for pressure readings and service orders.
- Responsible for adjusting controls and valves, regulating pressures and monitoring meters.
- Maintains records of meter and gauge readings to determine the temperature, amounts of gas received and dispensed, pressure and consumption rate variations.
- May collect gas samples for testing.
- Follows all Environmental, Health & Safety procedures.
- Supports field production activities as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical courses or certificate in mechanics, mechanical, or industrial desirable.
- 5 years diesel, mechanical and technical experience with natural gas compressors in an oil and gas production environment.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Barnett Shale. Working knowledge of State and Federal oil and gas regulations.
- Experience in well operations (gas lift, plunger lift, pumping units).
- A self-starter who can get the job done with minimal supervision.
