Job Summary: The Compliance Service Technician 1 is an entry-level position responsible for ensuring that underground storage tanks (USTs) comply with state and federal regulations. This role involves inspecting, testing, and performing maintenance at various locations. The technician will travel to sites daily and perform inspections as required by regulatory agencies. The ability to distinguish various colors of UST tank top components is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Conduct inspections of USTs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
•
Perform testing and maintenance on UST systems.
•
Document inspection results and report any non-compliance issues.
•
Travel to different sites daily to perform required inspections.
•
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to UST compliance.
•
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
•
Communicate effectively with site personnel and regulatory agencies.
•
Follow all safety protocols and procedures during inspections and maintenance activities.
•
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
•
High school diploma or equivalent.
•
Basic understanding of UST systems and regulatory requirements.
•
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
•
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different sites daily.
•
Previous experience in UST compliance or a related field, preferred.
•
Technical certification or training in UST systems, preferred
•
The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions.
•
The technician will be required to travel to different sites daily.
Skills and Abilities:
•
Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
•
Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8-10 hours per day.
•
Ability to distinguish various colors of UST tank top components.
•
Must be able to meet the company’s employment requirements, which include passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR if driving for the company.
