Summary:
The Compliance Analyst position is responsible for ensuring Company’s compliance with the drug and alcohol regulations of the Department of Transportation (DOT) to include Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) requirements, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements, and with the Company’s Substance Abuse Policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Evaluate, monitor, and maintain designated DOT and Non-DOT random testing pools in coordination with Operations, Safety and DOT Compliance departments.
•Administer, coordinate and communicate drug and alcohol testing process per our policy to include pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion testing
•Perform Designated Employer Representative (DER) responsibilities to include but not limited to:
•Conducting random audits
•Making decisions during the testing process and receiving test results
•Ensuring the confidentiality of drug and alcohol testing information
•Annual and bi-annual reporting of drug testing
•Audit DOT history authorizations and history check form for completion in compliance with DOT requirements
•Prepare for and represent the Company in Federal, State, and Railroad Commission, and customer Drug and Alcohol audits
•Respond to DOT verification requests.
•Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
•2 to 5 years of DOT compliance experience
•Strong Knowledge of PHMSA and/or FMCSA DOT drug & alcohol regulations.
•Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and sense of urgency
•Ability to work with minimal supervision
•Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and deadlines
•Excellent organizational and communication skills
•Must be able to build strong internal and external relationships
Software:
•SharePoint, Peoplesoft a plus
Preferred Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
•DER (Designated Employer Representative) Certification
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
•The Analyst level requires 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience
•The Senior Analyst level requires 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience

•Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
•Occasional overnight travel may be required
