Downhole Chemical Solutions (DCS) is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team in Midland, TX. This position serves as a critical liaison among operations, engineering, sales, and our clients, managing all aspects of client engagement from project planning through execution. The Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with the Sales Manager and the District Operations team to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with client objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in fracture stimulation operations engineering and a comprehensive understanding of all facets of fracture completion processes, including equipment and fluid systems. A proven track record within the oil and gas industry is essential for success in this role. Preference will be given to Completion Engineers with sales experience who demonstrate technical proficiency, sound judgment, and exceptional client relationship management skills.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless project execution and sustained client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the DCS Sales Team to drive business development and deliver technical solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Advise clients on fluid system optimization and operational strategies during project planning and execution.
- Apply your expertise in fracture mechanics, friction reducers, and real-time data interpretation to optimize well performance.
- Clearly communicate complex technical concepts while professionally resolving conflicts to maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct post-job reviews, analyze KPIs, and promptly address job-related concerns.
- Report to Sales Manager.Experience: 10+ years in the oil and gas industry with a focus on fracture stimulation operations, including at least 2+ years in sales or technical sales engineering within the Permian Basin.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline).
- Advanced knowledge of fracture completion operations, including design and execution.
- Proficiency in fracture design and pressure transient analysis software.
- Expertise in fracture stimulation chemicals, particularly friction reducers.
- Experience with net pressure history matching and fracture diagnostics analysis.
- Skills: Strong communication and conflict resolution skills with analytical capabilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred: Background as a Completion Engineer or Frac Field Engineer with exposure to sales and client interfacing.
