Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Completions Engineer to join our Houston-based technical team. The ideal candidate will have strong field and office experience in stimulation design, analysis, and optimization—along with a passion for leveraging diagnostics and data analytics to solve real-world engineering challenges. This position is full-time and in-office, involving both internal collaboration and direct client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design and optimize hydraulic fracturing programs for unconventional wells.
•Analyze field data including pressure, rate, and downhole diagnostics (DAS, DTS, DSS, perf imaging).
•Utilize Spotfire and other analytics tools for engineering workflows and visualization.
•Conduct fracture modeling simulations using software such as StimPlan™.
•Integrate geological, geophysical, and production data for completions planning.
•Support R&D initiatives including tool development and industry consortium projects.
•Present technical findings to clients at industry conferences (e.g., SPE).
•Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and engineering documentation with clients and internal teams.
Required Qualifications:
•B.S. in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
•2–3 years of field experience as a frac engineer (E&P or service company).
•3–5 years of completions engineering experience with an E&P company.
•Proficient in Spotfire Analytics and advanced data interpretation.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills (SPE presentation experience preferred).
•Must reside in Houston and work onsite daily.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with frac modeling software (StimPlan™, FracPro, GOHFER, ResFrac, etc.).
•Familiarity with diagnostics (DarkVision, EV Cam, Fiber Optic DAS/DTS).
•Advanced analytics and basic programming skills (MATLAB, Python, etc.).
•CAD software experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk).
•M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering or related discipline.
