Job Description

The Commercial Truck Operator is responsible for their performance as an operator and the equipment under their care. They are expected to uphold the culture and values of Premier Aggregates while on the road, at the yard, or delivering to a customer’s job site. This position is dedicated to providing excellent and efficient service through proficient operation. Technical expertise regarding DOT regulations, equipment types, operational methods, and maintenance requirements is essential.

Cannot have "Automatic Restrictions" on drivers license

Role Responsibilities -

- Efficiency & Profitability: Take ownership of executing the dispatch plan safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime to ensure a profitable day for the truck. Promptly communicate any issues impacting safe and efficient operations to the Trucking Lead.

- Customer Experience: Provide a best-in-class professional customer experience through competent truck operation, professional attire, and exemplary service. Maintain accurate records to facilitate proper billing.

- Safe Operations: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of laws and regulations governing commercial truck operation. Always prioritize safety to ensure the well-being of oneself, colleagues, and the public.

- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Identify maintenance issues, promptly notifying the Trucking Lead, and proactively address minor issues within one's skillset to minimize disruptions and ensure equipment reliability.

- Team Player: Act as a team player, embodying the Premier core values in all interactions and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Role Requirements -

- Professionalism: Uphold professionalism & integrity by fostering a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment, while refraining from behaviors that could contribute to gossip, negativity, or workplace conflict.

- Personal Presentation: Adhere to Premier uniform standards, wearing appropriate attire, including a Premier uniform shirt, reflective vest or jacket worn as designed when uniform shirt cannot be seen, long denim pants, and proper footwear.

- PPE Compliance: Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and instruct others to do so in appropriate situations to maintain safety standards.

- Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Follow all policies outlined in the Safety Manual and Standard Operating Procedures Manual to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

- Post and Pre-Trip Inspections: perform pre and post-trip inspections each day within company timelines & guidelines.

- Start Times: Arrive to work and clock in on time per the Driver Lead’s instructions

- Health & Safety: Keep and maintain all issued Equipment, Tools & First-Aid Supplies in the truck

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
