We specialize in integrated building systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and network-based security platforms.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Security Service Technician to support, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic security systems at commercial and industrial sites across the Philadelphia, PA area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing systems such as access control, video surveillance, intercoms, and intrusion alarms. This role is field-based and requires a high degree of technical knowledge, customer interaction, and independent problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
•Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial electronic security systems including:
•Video surveillance (CCTV)
•Intercoms and entry systems
•Perform system diagnostics, software updates, and equipment upgrades.
•Provide timely and professional technical support to clients on-site and remotely.
•Document service reports, system configurations, and any changes made.
•Work with project managers and coordinators to schedule and prioritize service calls.
•Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure optimal system performance.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry products, software, and best practices.
•Ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, and customer requirements.
•Maintain organized inventory of tools, replacement parts, and service materials.
Required Qualifications:
•3+ years of experience servicing and maintaining commercial security systems.
•Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems and wiring best practices.
•Proficiency with common platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Bosch, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, or similar).
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
•Experience with IP-based systems and network configuration.
•Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
•Strong communication and customer service skills.
•Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
•Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when required.
•Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
