OVERVIEW:


The Sales Representative is tasked with growing the customer portfolio of the Company for Commercial Fuels, Residential Fuels, Propane, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), and Lubricants. This team member is responsible for business development, with a strong focus on acquiring new customers while maintaining strong relationships with the Company’s existing customer base. Markets served include agriculture, commercial fleets, construction, industrial, automotive and residential.


This role is based in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec and provides sales coverage for the Pembroke/Renfrew/Arnprior/Shawville territory.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Gain new customers for the Company’s products in the assigned geographic territory through win-win negotiations.
Research prospective customers and identify the right contacts / stakeholders to sell to.
Maintain positive relationships with the Company's existing customer base.
Cultivate and maintain business relationships with suppliers, contractors, dealerships, and other sources of referrals.
Evaluate customer needs and understand market drivers to develop tailored, value driven proposals that ensure appropriate service, product, delivery, and pricing.
Collaborate with the Division Manager(s) on all coordination of installations and service work required.
Assist Company management with promotions & advertising when required.
Understand account profitability and gain appropriate approvals and documentation for equipment and supply agreements, ensuring an acceptable ROI.
Promote a professional, customer service attitude by leading by example in the community.
Develop an expert product knowledge, becoming a trusted technical resource for customers and colleagues.
Attend and participate in appropriate training and trade shows, as required.
Coordinate and assist with the delivery of products and equipment when required.
Any other duties, as can be reasonably required by the Company.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategy and achieving sales objectives.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related sales role.
Experience selling petroleum, lubricants or industrial related products is an asset.
Knowledge of Salesforce or a comparable CRM tool is a plus.
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Highly self-motivated and thrives in an independent work setting.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Valid driver's license.
The ability to communicate, written and verbal, in French and English is a requirement.
