Position Objective: The primary objective of the Service Operations Technician I is to contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of roofing services within the Commercial & Multi-Family Service Division. This role is tasked with diagnosing and resolving roof leaks, performing emergency repairs, and installing roofing materials in accordance with industry standards. Additionally, the Service Operations Technician I assist in routine roof inspections, collaborates with project managers to develop repair plans, and provides technical support to team members. The objective is to uphold the company's commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction while maintaining accurate records, adhering to regulations, and staying informed about industry developments. By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Service Operations Technician I plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and longevity of commercial roof systems, thereby contributing to the division's overall success and reputation for excellence.


Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Diagnose and resolve roof leaks on various types of commercial roof systems.
Perform emergency roof repairs.
Properly install roofing materials for repairs in accordance with industry standards, including metal flashings.
Conduct routine roof inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventive maintenance measures.
Assist in the installation of new roofing systems, including membrane, metal, and shingle roofs.
Entering project findings and photos in CenterPoint Connect / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology/software.
Maintain Fleet requirements. Including vehicle cleanliness, vehicle inventory, safe driving and maintenance as required.
Collaborate with project managers to develop repair plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, labor hours, and project updates.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.
Keep abreast of industry trends, new materials, and technologies, participating in training programs and certifications as needed.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels of roofing materials and equipment, coordinating with procurement as necessary.
Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, demonstrating flexibility and availability as required.
Uphold the company's reputation for quality workmanship and exceptional customer service through professionalism and attention to detail.

Requirements:


You’re probably a match if you have:

High School diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Minimum 3 years of Commercial Roofing experience.
Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Able to work from various heights.
Proficient with safety protocols and procedures.
Able to identify, locate, document, and advise on multiple different roof system’ deficiencies and issues.
Good communication skills / Professional appearance.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology/software.

Work Location and Hours:

Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Must work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
In the office, not a remote position.
