Position Title: Commercial/Residential Account Manager
You will be entrusted with a portfolio of residential properties where you’ll build strong relationships with clients, ensure that our goals match their priorities, and recommend additional services that will enhance the beauty or functionality of the property. We’ve found attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage your time efficiently, and a love for outdoor spaces are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
•Manage a portfolio of residential accounts and build strong relationships with those clients to ensure renewal.
•Visit properties monthly to ensure quality, address challenges that need attention, enter issues into our system, and follow-up with support teams as needed.
•Communicate with clients via weekly email recaps to ensure all requests and concerns are taken care of in a timely manner.
•Responsible for meeting monthly budgeted sales goals based on annual revenue budget.
•Recommend improvements to your clients including landscape enhancements, agronomy, irrigation, and tree care; work with support team members to prepare and present proposals.
•Develop basic knowledge of agronomy, arboriculture, enhancements, and irrigation.
Account Manager Skills and Qualifications:

Client Management:
•Estimate, present, and oversee implementation of a wide range of landscape projects and landscape maintenance services.
•Accurately estimate material and labor needs for any given job.
•Understand clients’ needs and develop short and long-term enhancement plans for clients’ properties.
•Create an annual schedule (capital expenses) for upcoming projects and seasonal color (planning and installation), and ensure this schedule is executed with a high efficiency.
•Timely and professional communication via email, phone calls, text or any other format. Follow the 5-10 rule.
•Responsible for account success for quality of service, client satisfaction and profitability goals.
•Document property conditions, maintain and update client information, and manage book of business through company CRM daily.
Sales and Profitability:
•Be knowledgeable and informed of all company services and be able to prepare estimates, proposals, and negotiate sales across all services.
•Communicate the vision for enhancements with Operations Manager and foreman to ensure client’s expectations are met, including photos, designs, scope and description and any other which will make production quality higher and increase efficiency.
•When applicable, provide proposals for enhancement opportunities within 48 hours.
Horticulture Quality:
•Oversee and direct all quality concerns and address any improvement for accounts and coordinate with Production Manager for execution.
•Responsible for overall health of the landscape by managing service items, horticulture, client requests, and irrigation management requests.
•Meet Foremen on site on a regular basis. Provide feedback and mentor on proper techniques, problem solving, and ways to increase efficiency.
•Provide feedback and written tasks (picture punch list) for Foreman to ensure clients’ requests are being met and proper horticultural maintenance and high quality are being provided.
•Promote safety in every aspect of job by upholding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies.
•Be knowledgeable of services provided in agreements and ensure services are provided in accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
•Effectively communicate with Foremen, Operations Manager of any significant issues on accounts with a response plan and resolution.

•Review and analyze reports to assist in effective team planning and progress towards goals.
•Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures while promoting the “A&K way”.
•Attend promotional events, seminars, garden shows in the community.
•Carry out, contribute and attain company goals while adhering to the mission statement and core values.
•Always represent the company in a responsible and professional manner.
•Ensure retention of clients to acceptable retention goal.
•Attain client testimonials and referrals.
Seasonal Snow & Other Duties:
•Assist snow removal crews with plowing or shoveling as needed.
•Promote snow removal services to maintenance client’s year round.
•Special projects and duties as assigned.
•Regular onsite work with each crew to help build relationships and a hands on approach, to experience crew work load and challenges they are having.
Total Compensation Range: $45,000+
•Compensation: $45,000 base + Commission
•Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
•Work Week – 10hr day Monday-Friday (40-55hrs/week)
•Company car for work use that can be taken home each night, used for company purposes only.
