The Branch Operations Manager will have full responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day operations in Maintenance while providing leadership guidance and mentoring to the Construction Team. This will include client retention and safety of the branch. Provide a superior level of customer relations and promote sales and service to our external clients. Review profit loss statements and branch sales goals, leadership, training, and supervision, and delegate day-to-day operations to the appropriate individuals. The Branch Manager reports/communicates to the Director of Maintenance on a regular basis.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Functions
•Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, quality, and customer service
•Build and maintain strong relationships with current and future clients. Collaborate with a dedicated business development team to drive organic revenue growth.
•Understand and work with accounting to ensure the branch is profitable
•Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed. Prepare and present reports on operational and financial performance
•Ensure compliance with all OHSA safety regulations and Caretaker's safety best practices.
•Monitor branch safety record and implement methods to improve safe workplace practices
•Inspect client properties to monitor performance and overall job quality
•Ensure client retention and contract renewals are main focus
•Mentor and lead the Account Management team
•Communicate, train, have crucial conversations and develop growth plan(s) for hi potential employees
•Implement and enforce policies and procedures as issued by Caretaker
•Work with business development to ensure branch goals are being achieved
•Identify prospects to meet sales goals and communicate to business development
•Understand and be able to accurately estimate jobs
•Ensure proper paperwork is completed for all employees and turned in to accounting in a timely manner
•Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling
•Identify, report, and be resolution oriented with business process issues
•Ensure data is current and accurately reported to the Executive Team
•Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in business management, horticulture, landscape architecture, or a related field - preferred
•Prior experience leading and growing a commercial landscape maintenance business - required
•Proven ability to build and lead a successful branch management team - required
•Understanding of budgeting, cost management, and GAAP financial reporting at a managerial level - required
•Proficiency in Microsoft plus leading industry software tools - required
•Basic proficiency in Spanish - strongly preferred
•A high level of personal determination combined with an ownership mindset and desire to win as a team - required
•Knowledge of all facets of production including maintenance, irrigation, spray equipment, etc. - required
•Ability to prioritize job duties in a fast-paced environment, work in an environment with competing priorities - required
•Effective and influential oral and written communication skills - required
•Valid Driver’s License-Approved MVR - required
