Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Commercial HVAC & Controls Sales Representative to drive business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new commercial HVAC and building automation opportunities. This role combines consultative selling with technical acumen, targeting both end users and general contractors across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
•Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities in the commercial HVAC and controls market.
•Conduct site visits, needs assessments, and solution presentations tailored to client goals.
•Collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams to deliver turnkey HVAC and controls solutions.
•Prepare and present proposals, bid packages, and sales contracts.
•Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business.
•Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand the company’s presence.
•Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Required Qualifications
•Proven track record in commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or building automation sales.
•Strong understanding of HVAC systems, energy efficiency, and control technologies (DDC/BAS).
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-facing skills.
•Highly motivated, self-starter with a hunter mentality.
•Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
•Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
Preferred Qualifications
•3+ years of B2B sales experience in HVAC or controls.
•Experience working with engineers, facility managers, or construction professionals.
•Technical certifications or relevant HVAC/Controls education a plus (e.g., Tridium, Niagara, Johnson Controls, etc.).
