Assists Foreman with project management needs; mentors Helpers, and assists with the completion of electrical projects. Works at construction sites, factories, businesses, and residences.
· Installs electrical components, systems and equipment as required by scope of projects.
· Mentors Helpers and provides exceptional support to Foreman through workmanship and suggestions on completing assigned projects timely and efficiently.
· Assists Foreman in assessing equipment, materials and labor needed to complete projects and communicates needs to Foreman.
· Consistently works within proper safety regulations and rules.
· Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets and assembly schematic drawings as needed.
· Communicates with employees, co-workers, customers and other trades with respect and professionalism.
· Confers with Foreman and makes recommendations on projects.
· May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime or adjusted hours as needed based on project demands.
· Demonstrates self-motivation and considerable desire to continue development in the electrical field including but not limited to Apprenticeship and Journeyman programs/certifications.
· Minimum of 5 years electrical industry experience (commercial or residential).
· Must have been employed as an electrician or electrician apprentice within the past 18 months.
· Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical operations and components.
· Working knowledge of single phase and three phase wiring, motors, programmable controls, circuits and National Electrical Code & NFPA rules.
