Central States Underwater is a trusted name in underwater pipeline inspection, survey, and remediation services. With over 50 years of field experience, we provide diving solutions for rivers, lakes, and coastal environments across the U.S. We’re currently expanding our dive team and looking for skilled, safety-driven professionals to help us deliver quality underwater work with integrity.
Responsibilities:
•Perform underwater inspections and surveys on pipelines, bridges, and marine structures
•Assist with underwater pipeline remediation and repair projects.
•Operate and maintain diving equipment, hand and power tools
•Works, as assigned by the Diving Supervisor, to support and ensure the safe and successful completion of all diving operations.
•Performing equipment checks and ensures all diving equipment is in proper working condition
•Complete dive logs, site documentation, and safety reports
•Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and client specifications
•Collaborate with topside crews and project managers
•Adhere to OSHA and ADCI safety protocols
•All employees, past and present, must maintain strict confidentiality, refraining from disclosing any confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information belonging to the Company to others
Qualifications/Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Successful completion of commercial diving training from a certified diving school is required
•ADCI-certified commercial diver (required)
•Minimum of 1 year of field diving experience preferred
•Experience with underwater pipeline work is a plus
•Ability to travel for extended periods (per diem and lodging provided)
•Must be able to pass physical examination and drug screening
•CPR and First Aid certification
•Good communication skills
•Ability to lift heavy equipment
•Basic understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures
•Strong work ethic, team-first mindset, and commitment to job site safety
•Capacity to remain calm under pressure and in emergency situations
