Cold Header Set Up and Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled Cold Header Set up and Operator for our operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating Cold heading machines, selecting and installing dies and tooling, performing quality inspections, and troubleshooting machinery defects.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate Cold Heading machines (1 Die 2 Blow).

- Select and install dies and tooling per the Sales Work Order.

- Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

- Interpret blueprints and drawings.

- Troubleshoot and fix defects with machinery as and when they come up.

- Lift up to 50lbs.

- May need to run other machines as and when required.

Essential Skills

- At least 3 years of Cold Heading Set up experience in a Fastener Industry.

- Proficient in using hand tools and be able to set tooling to run production.

- Experience in setting up National/Hartford header machines.

- Adjust machine setups, offsets & change tooling as required to ensure compliance to product & quality requirements.

- Ability to read blueprints.

- Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

- Print Work Orders and other related Production Documents

- Troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to lift 50lbs.

Experience & Education:

- High School Diploma with prior work experience or vocational/technical certification required.

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a fastener manufacturing facility

- Prior experience with fastener manufacturing processes & machines such as 1-die/2-blow header, thread roller or screw machines highly desirable.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
