The Coating and Rust Prevention position is essential for maintaining the integrity and longevity of maritime equipment through effective coating and rust prevention techniques. This role involves working outside on marine barges, utilizing hand tools to apply protective coatings, and ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently. Duties
•Apply industrial coatings to metal surfaces to prevent rust and corrosion.
•Utilize hand tools and equipment for surface preparation, including chipping and cleaning.
•Painting according to specifications while ensuring quality standards are met.
•Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
•Collaborate with team members to implement a cohesive work environment to enhance efficiency.
Skills
•Proficient in using hand tools related to coating applications and surface preparation.
•Experience in industrial painting techniques is preferred.
•Familiarity with paint and rust prevention materials within maritime settings.
•Understanding of lean production principles to improve workflow and reduce waste.
