Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures
- Load materials into machines and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy
- Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to achieve desired results
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
- Proficiency in operating Fanuc-controlled machines
- Strong knowledge of tooling, including selection and installation
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Experience with welding, forklift operation, and the use of hand and power tools is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
