Efficiently operate CNC lathes and/or mills to produce high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery—using the most efficient and economical methods available.
- Set up and operate CNC machines.
- Load raw materials into machines and prepare equipment for production.
- Monitor production runs and adjust settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Correctly enter all required production and material information into the PLEX system.
- Interpret and follow work instructions, blueprints, and job travelers accurately.
- Operate CNC equipment safely and efficiently, meeting standard cycle times.
- Inspect finished products using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure all parts meet specifications.
- Visually inspect for defects and maintain quality standards to minimize scrap and rework.
- Assist in the maintenance and care of tooling and CNC equipment.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through improved setups and reduced run times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Responsibilities may be adjusted based on operational requirements.
- High school diploma or GED (completion of at least 10th grade minimum)
- Previous CNC production experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Sound judgment, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs depending on production needs
- Work requires mobility within the production floor and adaptability to changing projects and priorities
