Luff Industries is currently accepting resumes for qualified CNC Machinist Operators to join our team at our Rockyview Alberta Plant.

Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, this role is responsible for the set up and operation of various machining equipment to manufacture custom parts and components used in the final assembly of products that are shipped to our customers.
This role is safety critical and requires the successful candidate to follow all our established safety protocols and procedures. Careful attention to detail is critical to ensure that machining equipment is properly set up, so product produced conforms to the specifications that are detailed on our production documents and drawings.
- Working safely and keeping your work area clean and tidy.
- Safely and efficiently operating various machining equipment including CNC Lathes, Manual Lathes, and Boring Mill Equipment.
- Programming of G-Code, set up and use of CNC lathes.
- Use of overhead cranes to safely handle raw materials.
- Handling completed product and raw materials safely using a variety of manual and powered material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Checking and verifying that completed parts are being produced according to the established company's Quality Work Procedures and standards.
- Performing visual inspections of completed parts / product to ensure that they meet the established quality standards and requirements.
- Any other tasks required for the success of the company.

Applicants will also bring the following skills and experience:
· At least 2 Years in a previous machinist role.
· At least 1 Year of experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
· Previous experience with Lathe and boring mill.
· Previous experience performing setup and programming of G-Code on Haas or Mazak CNC lathes.
Compensation: This is an hourly position with a starting wage range $25.00 - $29.00 for Machinist Technicians. Starting wage will be based on the successful applicant’s combination of skills and experience. Future increases will be based on ongoing individual performance as part of our employee review and development program. Employees are eligible to participate in the company benefit program after 3 months of employment.
