About This Job
Job Description
•
Insures direct communication between the cross-functional team members and their associated counterparts within the customer organization.
•
Ability to update CAD, CREO, Pro-E files where applicable.
•
Coordinate, prepare, and help execute DOEs per the Matrix output.
•
Coordinate targeted operational deficiency data gathering per field follow schedule.
•
Identify Tooling updates where applicable to Industry best practices and technology.
•
Support and implement CNC operational updates and Casting Clean Up initiatives.
•
Support and help implement process improvements.
•
Support on Kaizen and other initiatives and target Shop-floor practice updates.
•
Review and Identify Fixturing set up deficiencies where applicable.
•
Review and capture In-Process Validation Steps being utilized and identify cycle times associated.
•
Provide process improvements concepts to the In-Process Validation Steps with current technologies.
•
Communicate and coordinate with companies offshore, company SME, and Caterpillar.
Skills Required
•
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is required developing programs and machining products.
•
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, quality, or Production and Manufacturing Operations in an Automotive or related industry.
•
Experience with AIAG, and ISO 9001 Standards
•
Ability to support the development and execution of continues improvement initiatives.
•
Has knowledge in CNC Machining, Welding Processes, and Quality Control.
•
Is a self-starter and can execute assigned projects with minimal supervision.
•
Ability to program Siemens NX Code (Unigraphics)
•
Strong oral and written communication skills
•
Capability to work in teams
•
Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
•
CAD, CREO, or Pro-E proficiency.
•
CNC Operations, Machining, Six Sigma, Data collection, Fixturing, NX coding, CNC Programming, 3D Modeling
Education/Training/Certifications
•
B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent
•
Engineering Degree or related technical degree
